Paste your event link

Use any HTTPS event link. If you already created a PicShots event, paste the guest link from your host dashboard. The same generator powers the QR codes you can print for table cards and welcome signs.

Tip: test the link on your phone before printing the QR.

Print tips

  • Keep strong contrast: dark QR on a white or very light background.
  • Leave quiet space around the QR so cameras can detect the edges.
  • Print one QR per table for weddings and seated events.
  • Add a short label like 'Scan to add your photos' above the code.
  • Test the printed version on both iPhone and Android before the event.

FAQ

Common questions

Can I use this QR generator for any event link?

Yes. Paste any full http:// or https:// URL. If you use PicShots, paste the guest link from your host dashboard so guests land directly on the event camera.

Does the QR code expire?

The QR image encodes the URL you paste. It keeps working as long as that URL works. PicShots event links continue to work for the lifetime of the event unless the host deletes the event.

What size should I print an event QR code?

For table cards, print at least 3 cm / 1.2 in wide. For welcome signs or posters, go much larger and test from the distance guests will scan.

Where should I place an event QR code?

Use table cards, welcome signs, lanyards, programmes, slides, or the gift/favor table. The best placement is wherever guests naturally pause with their phone in hand.

Do guests need an app to scan it?

No. Modern phone cameras scan QR codes directly. PicShots also runs in the browser, so guests do not need to install anything after scanning.
